Introducing: The Magic Between Streetlights

5/21/2026

✨ A Tale from Greenwich Village ✨

🌙 🔮 ✨ What Is It About?

Some magic doesn't announce itself. It just waits until you're ready to look.

Mateo has worked the closing shift at The Honey Lantern long enough to know every quirk of the place. The way the Edison bulbs cast everything in amber, the soft creak of old floorboards, the feeling that the city outside can't quite reach him here.

Then a regular customer leaves behind a strange ring. And when Mateo picks it up and slips it on, the world splits open.

Greenwich Village has always had another layer. Glowing spirits drifting between streetlights, voices rising through subway grates, ancient things watching from rooftops. And something far darker has been circling the neighborhood, hungry and growing bolder.

Caught between the city he wanted to escape and the hidden world he never knew existed, Mateo must decide what he's willing to protect, and whether belonging somewhere means learning to stay.

📘What Makes It a Mini-Series?

The Magic Between Streetlights is a three-book mini-series, and A Tale from Greenwich Village is Book 1 of 3.

Here is the thing about this series that I am really excited about. Each book is intentionally short. We are talking under 20,000 words each. This is a very deliberate choice. I wanted these stories to feel like a single, satisfying sit-down read. The kind of book you crack open on a flight and finish before you land, or carry with you on a train trip. Or honestly, curled up on the couch with a blanket and a cup of tea on a rainy afternoon and just be in Greenwich Village for a few hours.
No commitment anxiety. No 400-page investment. Just a complete, cozy, magical story that respects your time and leaves you excited for the next one.

All three books will follow Mateo and the hidden world of Greenwich Village. Each one has its own complete adventure, but is building toward something bigger. Think of it like a limited series you want to binge, except you get to hold it in your hands.

Say hello to Mateo, standing on a cobblestone street in Greenwich Village, holding a ring he probably should not have picked up. Behind him, the warm amber glow of a shop called The Honey Lantern. And if you look closely. Really closely, there are little sparks of light drifting through the air around him.
