Reader Team Applications Are Open
Interested in joining my Reader Team? I’m looking for thoughtful readers who love contemporary YA, emotional coming-of-age stories, and LGBTQ+ fiction to help support my books at different stages of the process.
Some team members may be a great fit for Beta Reading, or for ARC reading.

Role Definitions
What is a Reader Team?
My Reader Team is a group of readers who want to support my books in different ways depending on the project. Some readers help by giving feedback on early or in-progress drafts, while others help by reading advance copies before release and posting honest reviews.

What does a beta reader do?
A beta reader reads a draft before publication and gives honest feedback from a reader’s perspective. This usually includes reactions to pacing, plot, character development, emotional payoff, clarity, and overall reading experience. |
What does an ARC reader do?
An ARC reader receives an Advance Reader Copy of a nearly final version of a book before release. Their role is to read within the timeline provided and, leave an honest review on platforms like Amazon or Goodreads, while also helping spread excitement around launch time. |
Expectations
What I’m looking for
- Readers who genuinely enjoy Young Adult, contemporary fiction, Slice-Of-Life, Romance, and LGBTQ+ stories.
- People who can communicate clearly and respect deadlines.
- Honest feedback, whether that means constructive beta notes or a fair ARC review.
- Readers who understand that advance copies are for personal use only and should not be shared.
- Kind, engaged book lovers who are excited to support indie publishing.
Please note: joining the reader team is an unpaid, volunteer early-reader opportunity.
